Does ASP.NET work under Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows ME?
 

No, ASP.NET is a Microsoft Technology that is supported only on the following platforms:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 family (Service Pack 3 recommended)

  • Microsoft Windows XP family

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 family

  • Microsoft Windows Vista family

  • Microsoft Windows Longhorn family

Note that this is not a DWebPro limitation, but is an intrinsic requirement of the ASP.NET technology.
 

Can ASP.NET 2.0 Web applications run without installing the .NET Framework on a user's PC?
 

Yes, you can achieve this using our unique ASP.NET 2.0 Embedded package (see Add-On Packages topic).
 

How can I precompile my web application before distribution?
 

ASP.Net 2.0 comes with the Aspnet_compiler.exe tool that allows to precompile your web application before distribution. Refer to the following topic on MSDN for information on the precompilation process:http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms228015.aspx

ASP.Net 1.1 doesn't include native support for precompilation but there are some free tools for precompilation. For instance:

 

How can I solve the "An Error is occurred in DWebPro ASP.Net 2.0 Server. The application will be closed." error?
 

This error is raised when DWebPro can't find one of the following files:

  • deploy\aspnet.dll

  • deploy\aspnet2.dll

  • deploy\www\bin\aspnet.dll

  • deploy\www\bin\aspnet2.dll

You can solve the problem reinstalling DWebPro using the official install package.
