Following installation of DWebPro, you can begin the process of configuring DWebPro for your custom Web application as well as obtaining and installing required addon packages. Keep in mind that support for both ASP Classic 3.0 and ASP.NET are already included in the DWebPro package.

All of the configuration parameters for DWebPro are contained in a single file, named http.ini. This file resides in the same folder as the DWebPro executable file and can be maintained manually using any text editor or, preferably, using the DWebPro Configuration application. The graphic below shows the DWebPro Configuration application.

In order to maintain compatibility with all supported operating systems, the DWebPro executable file (dwebpro.exe) must be located in a folder that does not contain embedded spaces. For example, do not place the DWebPro executable file in a location like: C:\My DWebPro. This constraint must be enforced due to the fact that the Windows 95 and Windows 98 operating systems use different mechanisms for managing space characters than the Windows 2000, XP, and 2003 operating systems.
